The Calypso
BUILT TOUGH FOR TOUGH CONDITIONS
The Calypso was built in 1997 by O'Brien Boats in Townsville.
A family business just like Calypso Fishing Adventures Peter and his son Lee saw the need for a purpose built sportfishing vessel, able to handle the rugged oceans along Australia's east coast.
With the construction of the Calypso Peter and Lee got it right.

An open rear bulkhead layout puts you right in the action when laying on the sofas inside ac comfort.
Since 1997 Captain Tim has maintained the vessel to the highest standards including a total re-fit of the vessels interior and the starboard engine re-build in 2007.
This year 2008 he is re-building the port engine to NEW. This will give the vessel another 10000 hours or more trouble free fishing.
The accomodation on board is ample for upto four guests liveaboard and upto 6 anglers for a day trip marlin fishing day in Port Stephens.
Rest assured you will realise your every need is catered for onboard when marlin fishing on the Calypso.
All meals are made with the best fresh local produce.
